Back-Neck Massage

Back Neck and Shoulder Massage in Zurich
Our back neck and shoulder massage is ideal for people who spend many hours at a computer and develop tight shoulders, stiff neck muscles and tension in the upper back. This targeted therapy is one of the most effective ways to release deep muscular stress and provide fast relief.
During the session, you will feel how the tension between your shoulder blades, neck and chest gradually dissolves into a light and mobile feeling. Our therapists work through all connected muscle groups and the fascia (connective tissue) around your spine to create a deeply relaxing back & neck massage experience.
For customers in Zurich, this treatment is often booked as a stress-relief back massage in Zurich, helping to reduce tightness from office work, poor posture and everyday strain. You may also notice improved posture and reduced headaches after the massage — a natural result of releasing blocked fascia and accumulated tension.
Many guests describe the massage as a relaxing back and neck massage in Zurich, because it combines precise therapeutic pressure with a soothing, calming effect on the whole body.
Questions & Answers
Is a back neck and shoulder massage helpful for slipped discs ?
A slipped disc, also known as a herniated disc, is usually caused by age-related wear and tear of the spine, but it can also occur after an injury. In many cases, the symptoms people feel — such as tension, stiffness or radiating discomfort — are not caused by the disc itself, but by surrounding muscle tension.
To assess whether a back neck and shoulder massage or a traditional Thai massage (yoga style) can be beneficial, keep the following recommendations in mind:
- If you are receiving medical treatment, ask your doctor whether massage is appropriate and what precautions should be taken.
- After an accident, always go to your doctor first to ensure your spine has not been seriously injured.
- Seek urgent medical attention if you experience:
- very severe, burning or pulling back pain
- numbness or tingling in arms or hands
- dizziness or coordination problems
- reflex disorders
- muscle weakness or signs of paralysis
- loss of bladder or bowel control (emergency)
However, up to 80% of cases are not acute and can safely be treated by us.
Often the discomfort comes from tense muscles, protective posture or stress around the spine. In these situations, massage can help relieve tension and improve mobility. Please let us know which movements cause pain and in which region the discomfort occurs — this allows us to adapt the massage therapy individually.
Important: We can release muscle tension and provide pain relief, but we cannot cure a slipped disc itself. We can, however, offer very good supportive care with targeted back and neck massage techniques.
Visiting us 2–3 times at intervals of one week is often helpful. Many cases improve naturally over time, especially when supported by gentle massage, better posture and avoiding heavy lifting or awkward movements.
